Welcome to Firefly in the Cityupdated: Sunday, October 14, 2007 Welcome to Firefly. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Firefly family... We started off 4 years ago by opening our precious first bar on Clapham Common in South London. It proved to be a great success with its cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff. We have always strived for our bars to be a place people can come to and relax, whether it is over a bottle of wine with friends or dancing the night away to great tunes. Three years ago, Firefly Clapham got a sister in neighboring Balham. The word spread fast and it is now busy 7 days a week. Balham turned out to be more food orientated than Clapham, although just as appreciated by its many regulars. Now we've taken on our biggest challenge yet- Firefly City. We opened her doors on the 22nd of November 2006 and have had our hands full ever since. Taking a bit of Clapham, adding a bit of Balham and a lot of creative and positive attitudes, we have managed to keep that local feel- with the buzzy city edge to it. We are serving great dishes prepared by our Tasmanian head chef Eddie Vinney. Our bar team take great pride in their fantastic cocktails, created on-site. From business lunches to after work drinks and food, private parties, weddings and late night entertainment with live music and dancing, Firefly provides a new meaning to going out in the City.
